Two execs to Disney

DISNEY'S GLOBAL GO-GETTERS: The Magic Kingdom isn't just about talking mice and pixie dust and swashbuckling pirates, you know—it's also about licensing and global strategy and spreadsheets presented during long, long meetings. This point was amply demonstrated recently, when Disney Music Group President Ken Bunt announced the appointment of two global execs. Robbie Snow has been upped to SVP of Global Marketing for the group, stepping up from VP of Marketing; David Abdo has been appointed SVP of Global Business Operations & Distribution, having formerly served under a remarkably similar title without the world "global" in it. In addition to their respective duties regarding marketing, advertising, creative, publicity, licensing, finance, royalties and global strategy and operations, the pair will be charged with explaining why Pluto is basically a regular dog, wheras Goofy is more like a dude with a dog's head.
