Clear Channel Empire State Halloween

DARK SIDE OF THE BRIGHT LIGHTS: Clear Channel and the Empire State Building are planning a Halloween light and music show. On 10/31, the world-famous NYC skyscraper will be the site of an LED tower light show (by acclaimed lighting designer Marc Brickman) synchronized to a Halloween-themed broadcast transmitted from the tower and carried on CC stations Z100 and 103.5 KTU; the event will figure prominently in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Clear Channel's Tom Poleman hailed the event as the ideal celebration of "All Hallows' Eve" before changing into his uncanny Bob Pittman costume. (10/17p)
