Top 10 tracks

TOP 10 TRACKS: It isn’t hard to find the good news on the latest sales chart following another bleh week. Lorde still rules the roost, suffering a mere 5% slippage; Katy’s “Roar” and Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” have legs; the first single in Justin Bieber’s promised weekly series made the intended impression on his fannettes; and Eminem’s videogame contrib had a solid debut—though we suspect it’ll be dwarfed by the total generated by the astounding “Rap God,” which hit on Monday and will make its initial chart appearance next week. Then there’s Ylvis, with their unanticipated resuscitation of the novelty song, which makes us nostalgic for Sheb Wooley’s “The Purple People Eater.”

1. Lorde, “Royals” – 294k
2. Katy Perry, “Roar” – 195k
3. Avicii, “Wake Me Up” – 160k
4. Miley Cyrus, “Wrecking Ball” – 128k
5. Justin Bieber, “Heartbreaker” – 127k
6. Drake f/Majid Jordan, “Hold On, We're Going Home” – 121k
7. Eminem, “Survival” – 112k
8. Ylvis, “The Fox” 107k
9. Lady Gaga, “Applause” – 100k
10. Jay Z f/Justin Timberlake, “Holy Grail” – 98k
