iTUNES CHARTS: Debuting albums are holding down the top three positions this morning, led by you know who (see next item), followed by indie band Asking Alexandria (whose specialty is “screamo/metalcore,” according to the artist info blurb in the store) and self-released gospel artist Tye Tribbett. Since we did the screen grab, the two titles have switched slots, so it appears that this section of the slot will remain fluid for the time being. A fourth bow, the latest iteration of the Now series—Vol. 47 if you’re keeping count—has also entered the Top 10, as bargain hunters who’ve patiently resisted springing for individual tracks during the last few months click the “Buy” botton on 16 hits plus four “Now What’s Next!” selections for $9.99. Singles-wise, the latest entry is Avicii’s “Wake Me Up,” as 1D’s “Best Song Ever” latest settles in for the long haul following its initial eruption. It also looks like Capital Cities and Anna Kendrick are gonna be hanging around for some time to come. Let’s raise a glass of OJ to new blood, people. (8/6a)
