iTUNES CHARTS: Look who’s back at #1 on this Friday morning. No big surprise to find Hova hovering over the field; what’s more intriguing is that Sara Bareilles is holding strong at #2, solidifying her status as a career artist with a still-growing fanbase. The Epic singer/songwriter has one of four debuts presently holding slots in the Top 10, the others being Miami MC Ace Hood (with his first for Cash Money/Universal), John Mayer (picking up pre-orders for his 8/20 Columbia release Paradise Valley) and Aussie balladeer Cody Simpson—though Atlantic’s answer to Jack Johnson was about to be overtaken by the latest collection from Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop Kids franchise as the above graphic was being assembled. The singles chart, meanwhile, sports a pair of fresh faces in the beautiful and multitalented Anna Kendrick and crossing PoMo rookies Capital Cities, who signed with the perfect label, even if the spelling is slightly different.
