DIGITAL STIMULATION: A look at today's iTunes album chart finds the "Dad Rock" of Father's Day's $7.99 sale falling off the Top 10 (but for the unsinkable Bob Seger—"Rock and Roll Never Forgets," indeed), and the two hip-hop sets expected to rule next week's sales chart, Kanye West's hugely buzzed-about Yeezus (Def Jam/IDJ) ande J. Cole's formidable Born Sinner (Roc Nation/Columbia), seizing the top spots. But we also see big action for Astralwerks' Aussie art-pop duo Empire of the Sun and Motown's Kelly Rowland, not to mention indies like alt-rapper Mac Miller (Rostrum) and Epitaph's Vegas-bred hardcore band Falling in Reverse. Meanwhile, the dance parties of RCA's Justin Timberlake and Columbia's Daft Punk show no signs of fatigue. On the singles side, Star Trak/Interscope's Robin Thicke can't be pried from his #1 roost, even with the combined vocal onslaught of Voice finalists Danielle Bradbery, Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers. Interscope's Imagine Dragons, Macklemore's Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Daft Punk, despite having no TV shows of their own, hang tough. (6/18a)
