Katy loves Tegan and Sara

FANS IN HIGH PLACES: There’s a growing buzz surrounding “Closer,” the super-catchy new single from Tegan and Sara, brilliantly produced by Greg Kurstin (The Shins, P!nk, Foster the People), on Vapor/Warner Bros. Partly responsible for that buzz is none other than Katy Perry, who raved about “Closer” in a recent Access Hollywood interview segment, and yesterday tweeted about the track to her 30 million-plus followers and included a link to the video. It now has more than 2,700 retweets and has been favorited over 2000 times. By the way, Perry and John Mayer were on the floor and backstage at the twins’ Club Nokia show Friday night. So were Glee’s Leah Michelle and Corey Montieth, who also sings the songs praises. (2/6a)
