UMG plans pre-Grammy party

PARTY HEARTY: Look for UMG to throw an exclusive music celebration on Saturday afternoon of Grammy Week, Feb. 9, the day before the Awards show and prior to that night’s Clive Davis soiree. The Lucian Grainge-hosted, by-invitation-only event will take place in Hollywood and feature a mix of “new, cutting-edge artists and established chart-toppers” entertaining “an intimate gathering of key tastemakers, radio and retail execs, digiterati, VIPs and assorted industry heavies. Guess our invitation’s in the mail. The location is secret and the lineup promises to be a who’s-who from the now-joined rosters of UMG and EMI. Stay tuned to this space for more exclusive updates.
