SHOW DOG LEARNS NEW TRICKS: Toby Keith’s Show Dog and Universal Records South have renewed their joint venture agreement, it was announced by the country superstar, SDU Music President Mark Wright and UMG Nashville Chairman/CEO Mike Dungan. The label, first formed by Keith and Wright in 2009, includes Trace Adkins, Joel Crouse, Rose Falcon, JT Hodges, Jessie James, Krystal Keith and Josh Thompson. “We are committed to expanding our creative investment in all areas of country music,” stated Dungan. “Show Dog-Universal Music is on solid ground, and is uniquely situated as one of the premier custom-shop labels in Nashville. With Toby and Mark at the helm, I’m confident that they will be able to expand the label even further.” Added Keith: "Show Dog Universal’s goal is to be a powerhouse label that provides better opportunities for our artists to create music and gives them room to grow; the way it is supposed to be.” (10/8a)
