American Idol Fills Out Panel

JUDGE AND JURY: American Idol finally made it official, just in time for its audition tapings to begin, with Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj joining Mariah Carey and holdover Randy Jackson (who also happens to be Mariah’s manager) on the panel of the Fox music competition show. According to reports, Mariah will be the lead-off judge, while Randy will bat clean-up, having the last word. And while NBC’s The Voice has maintained its ratings, Fox’s X Factor was off after both premiered last week, with the former winning when the two went head to head on Wednesday. Idol debuts in January. (9/17a)
