Spoon's Britt Daniel has another band

A SERIES OF SNEAKS: Spoon’s Britt Daniel is moonlighting in a new band, Divine Fits, with Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs, and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks. The indie supergroup’s as yet untitled debut album, produced by the veteran Nick Launay, will come out later this year on Merge in the U.S., presumably before the follow-up to Spoon’s 2010 LP, Transference. Divine Fits have their own website divinefits.com, and you can follow them on Twitter. Boeckner has some time on his hands: Wolf Parade announced an indefinite hiatus last year, and Handsome Furs, his band with wife Alexei Perry, announced its split last week on Facebook. (5/23a)
