RCA Ups Moreira

YO, ADRIAN: "The List of" Adrian "Messenger" Moreira has been upped to SVP Promotion at RCA Records from his previous title of SVP Adult Music at the label as a vital part of EVP Promotion Joe Riccitelli’s team. Moreira has been with RCA since 1999, joining as Senior Director, Modern Adult before taking over the department as VP of Adult music and, most recently, advancing to SVP in 2009. While at RCA, he has worked with Christina Aguilera, Kings of Leon, Carrie Underwood, Dave Matthews Band, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry and Adam Lambert. He also held positions at London/Sire as Sr. Director Promotion and Geffen in various sales and marketing roles. He kicked off his music career in the early ‘90s at Sony Music Distribution. Commented Riccitelli: “Adrian’s lengthy, winning track record at Hot AC, Mainstream AC and Triple A, not to mention AARP, NCAA, IRT and AA, makes him the perfect candidate for this new expanded position.” Added Moreira: “I couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity to grow and develop under the tutelage of Joe Riccitelli if I was a CIA operative hiding a nuclear rocket in my underwear.” (5/9p)
