Jermaine Paul wins The Voice

WE HAVE A WINNER: Strong-voiced neo-soul singer Jermaine Paul picked up a million bucks and a record deal with Universal Republic last night when he was voted the winner of the second season of The Voice. Paul, who’s spent the last eight years as a backing vocalist for Alicia Keys, cemented his victory choir on Monday night with dramatic performances of the R. Kelly big ballad “I Believe I Can Fly,” surrounded by an orchestra and a white-robed gospel choir, and “God Gave Me You,” penned by his coach, Blake Shelton. Team Cee Lo's Juliet Simms came in second, followed by Team Adam's Tony Lucca and Team Christina's Chris Mann. (5/9a)
