Airborne's Rockets Red Glare

A TOXIC ANTHEM: Not even The Airborne Toxic Event’s stirring rendition of our National Anthem at Staples Center could help the Clippers beat the Lakers last night in their crosstown rivalry, but it did offer some consolation to our own diehard Clip fans Lenny Beer and son Jesse. Here, the band hits a high note which incites fellow follower Bill Simmons to renew his cries for coach Vinny Del Negro’s head. (4/5p)
