Rethink Music confab

RETHINK/REMODEL: Rethink Music, a conference dedicated to “developing transformative solutions for the music industry,” is set for April 23-24 at Boston's Hynes Convention Center. Presentations and workshops will seek to generate new ideas and technologies for business, branding, touring, promotion, etc. Speakers will include reps from FADer Media, Converse, Spotify, turntable.fm, Nokia, VEVO, the Echo Nest, YouTube. Author Seth Godin will deliver the keynote, while Portugal, the Man, DJ Spooky, Mayer Hawthorne and the Junior Boys are among showcase performers and presenters. Rethink Music is presented by the Berklee College of Music and Midem, in association with Harvard's Berkman Center and Babson College. Discounts for musicians are available here. (4/4a)
