BUMPERS & BRACKETS: ESPN has been going PoMo with its in-game bumpers. Recently, we’ve been hearing the chorus hook of The Shins’ “Simple Song” and The Ting Tings’ “Hang It Up” going into timeouts during NBA and college games. But the Mothership (as Dan Patrick likes to refer to his former place of employment) has nothing on Turner Sports and CBS, who are featuring The Black Keys’ “Gold on the Ceiling” in their March Madness campaign, intercutting live performance footage of the band footage and NCAA hoops highlights…as you’ll see if you click on the PLAY arrow.
