Cowell to create DJ competition

GREAT DJ: Simon Cowell has announced plans to launch a new talent competition for DJs, Reuters reports. "DJs are the new rock stars,” said Simon. “It feels like the right time to make this show. The show, which will air in both the U.S. and the U.K., will be co-produced by Cowell and Sony Music’s Syco and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment. The format and title have yet to be determined at this early stage, but you can bet that Skrillex has already been penciled in as a musical guest. (1/26a)
