Norah and Danger Mouse Hook Up

MORE-A NORAH: Blue Note/EMI recording artist Norah Jones and Danger Mouse, whose collaboration began on last year’s ROME album, will continue it on her latest, Little Broken Hearts, coming this spring. The connection proved deep enough that the pair decided to collaborate on Jones’ fifth studio album, which features original songs co-written by both, creating an entirely new sound for the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter. The duo convened in Danger Mouse’s L.A. studio this past fall to finish what they had begun. The songs were all built from the ground up, with Jones and Danger Mouse writing and performing the majority of the instrumental parts; Jones on piano, keyboards, bass, and guitar, with Danger Mouse contributing drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and string arrangements. Jones will tour extensively this year, performing at a mixture of festivals, amphitheatres and theatres in the U.S. and abroad, including her return to the Hollywood Bowl on August 10, with tickets going on sale Jan. 24.
