GOING TO A GO-GO: Jamie Foxx will host that controversial Michael Jackson tribute concert set to take place Oct. 8 in Cardiff, Wales, while Smokey Robinson has been added to a list of performers that includes Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. "Michael was larger than life and I have admired him, honored him, joked about him, but always loved and respected him," Foxx told MTV.co.uk. "I hope I honor his legacy in a way that would make him laugh and cry." Beyoncé's management last week denied reports she was pulling out of the event due to her pregnancy, and instead promised a "unique, never before seen performance" that will be shown via satellite to the crowds in Cardiff. Although the tribute concert isn’t officially endorsed by the Jackson family, Michael’s mother Katherine and his children, Paris, Blanket and Prince Michael, have said they’ll be there. Tickets to the concert have been deep-discounted due to low demand, RollingStone.com reports, and many of the star's hardcore fans have urged promoters to cancel the show. (9/14a)
