Thirty Seconds to VMAs

SECONDS GO FIRST: Three-time MTV VMA nominees Thirty Seconds to Mars release a digital EP today featuring four tracks from their recent MTV Unplugged performance, including “Hurricane,” “Kings & Queens,” “Night of the Hunter” and a cover of U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name," the video of which can be seen below. The show premiered July 20 across MTV Music Group’s multiple platforms and screens. “Hurricane” Unplugged is now in music video rotation on MTV’s AMTV, MTV2’s AMTV2, mtvU and MTV Hits. A 30-minute special debuted on Palladia, MTV Networks’ high-definition music channel July 29. A video album bundle of the MTV Unplugged performance will be available Aug. 30. The band is nominated in three categories for their controversial short film “Hurricane,” with leader Jared Leto co-presenting the Breakthrough Video award with Zoe Saldana. (8/23p)
