Adams in Capitol/EMI Family

ADAMS IN EMI FAMILY: Add Ryan Adams' next album to the list of EMI Music assets for the ongoing auction. Capitol Records is the new recording home of the multi-Grammy nominated, way-prolific singer/songwriter according to Capitol/Virgin Label Group Prexy Dan McCarroll. Adams' new album Ashes & Fire will be released on PAX-AM/Capitol Records in North America Oct. 11. The album was recorded at Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood and produced by renowned dial-twister Glyn Johns, whose son Ethan produced previous Adams albums Heartbreaker, Gold and 29. Commented McCarroll: "All great records start with great songs. Ashes & Fire will remind you why Ryan Adams is at the front of the line as one of his generation’s most gifted artists.” The album features guest appearances from Benmont Tench as well as fellow EMI artist Norah Jones, who contributes piano and backing vocals on several tracks.
