DAVIS TO ALLIANCE? Platinum Equity is said to be tapping former UMe GM Mike Davis to join its recently acquired Alliance Entertainment Corp. This comes on the heels of Alan Tuchman stepping down as President of the mega-wholesaler in April. Davis’ title is still unclear, but it appears that he will have at least Sales & Marketing under his purview. CFO Peter Blei, who had been heading the company on an interim basis, will continue to oversee finance and operations, with the well-respected Robbie DeFreitas continuing on in his role as head of purchasing.
