UMGD Taps Jakary

UMGD UPS JAKARY: Mike Jakary is promoted to VP Label & Field Marketing at UMGD by UMD EVP/GM Candace Berry, to whom he'll report. He was previously Sr. Director of Label & Field Marketing for the distribbery. Jakary will lead the marketing efforts of UMGD’s owned and associated label groups, including all field and college marketing initiatives. He will act as the distribution company’s main label marketing contact, with all of UMGD’s Directors of Label Marketing continuing to report to him. Jakary began his career as a Field Marketing Rep and was promoted to Artist Development Rep. He later became Director of Artist Development and moved to UMGD’s home office, where he was the label liaison for Universal Motown Republic Group. (6/6p)
