Pair Arrested in MTV Killing

ARREST IN MTV MURDER: A man and a woman arrested this week in connection with a string of recent armed robberies around L.A. are believed responsible for the execution-style slaying of 30-year-old MTV music coordinator Gabriel Aron Ben-Meir in a Mid-Wilshire neighborhood last Sunday, police said today. Jabaar Vincent Thomas, 26, and Destiny Young, 29, both of L.A., have been tied to the slaying through witness statements and other evidence, according to police. Gabriel was the brother of artist manager Alexis Ben-Meir, who pleaded with the public for information in his murder. (5/13p)
