NARM AND TAMARA: Ex-Billboard editor and current The Comet.com founder Tamara Conniff will moderate NARM’s Artist Managers Town Hall Meeting, May 10, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A. From 4-5 p.m., “The New World Panel” will offer options for artist managers to develop their clients’ careers outside of traditional channels, with SoundExchange’s Bryan Calhoun, Reach Global Music Publishing’s Michael Closter, BigChampagne’s Eric Garland, Lionsgate’s Tracy McKnight, Crowdbands.com’s Tom Sarig and CommerceSocial’s Ariel Wada. Immediately following, from 5-6 p.m., “It’s Manager’s World” will focus on the ever-changing role of artist management, featuring Janet Billig of Manage This!, Dangerbird Records’ Jeff Castelaz, Bill Silva Entertainment’s Ryan Chisholm, Prospect Park’s Deb Klein, Gold Mountain’s Ron Stone and Chester French’s D.A.
