WHO’S NEXT? Speculators are speculating like crazy following the resignation of Universal Music Publishing Group chief David Renzer last week, tossing around the names of the execs they believe are qualified to lead the pubco, and whose names are on Lucian Grainge’s initial list of candidates. It’s a big job—UMPG has been battling with EMI Music Publishing for supremacy in the business since picking up BMG Songs in 2008.
