Additions to MusiCares lineup

A WHOLE BUNCH OF PERSONAL JESUSES: Steven Tyler, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and concert promoter Gary Tovar are the latest participants announced for the Seventh Annual MusiCares Map Fund benefit concert honoring Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan (who’s also scheduled to perform) and Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman. Tyler will present the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award to Gahan for his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund, and for his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction and recovery process. Tovar will present Lyman with the From the Heart Award for his unconditional friendship and dedication to the mission and goals of the organization. Bennington joins performers Curt Bisquera, Dave Gahan, Jane's Addiction,Vincent Jones,Martyn LeNoble, David Levita, Jason Orme,Ozomatli, and Paramore. Neil Portnow and John Branca will also be on hand, but they've promised not to perform. The event will take place at Club Nokia on May 6. (4/1a)
