Randy Irwin Joins Skyscraper

RANDY’S DANDY: Industry vet Randy Irwin is named President of Skyscraper Entertainment Ventures by founder/Chairman Brent D. Stiefel. Skyscraper is a diversified media company whose primary operations include; film production house Two Tall Boots (Stephen Gyllenhaal's Grassroots), label/publisher Turnout (Brite Futures, Hey Champ), venture capital fund Sidearm Group (Big Live, Onto Entertainment), strategic marketers Backbeat Industries, and talent firm Departure Artist Management (Brite Futures, Letters and Lights). Irwin has held senior posts at Epic Records Group, where he worked with Ben Folds, Tenacious D, Oasis and Celine Dion. He was VP Marketing & International Business Consultant at CDA Productions during Dion’s record-breaking run in Las Vegas. In 2007, he launched Departure Media in Seattle, serving as a consultant for Arctic Monkeys and Travis. Skyscraper has offices in Burbank and New York, with headquarters in Seattle. (2/15p)
