Kingston Adds Orlando Station

KINGSTON ADDS ANOTHER: Programming vet Steve Kingston has acquired former oldies and Spanish station WSJF in St. Augustine Beach, FL, and flipped it to Adult Alternative. The outlet was simulcasting Annapolis-market WRNR (103.1), a station that Kingston and another group of partners have owned for years. Former major-market PD and consultant Kingston, his wife Patty Steele and Don Cavaleri are partners in buying WSJF from Tama Broadcasting receiver Scott Savage for $500k. They'll run it as a local St. Augustine-market operation, instead of trying to influence the nearby Jacksonville market with a limited Class A signal. (2/14p)
