Thirty Seconds Controversy

STRIKE UP THE BANNED: The steamy, provocative Thirty Seconds to Mars short film for “Hurricane,” is already causing controversy, with several prominent broadcast outlets banning it altogether, or airing it only in restricted time periods, according to Perez Hilton, who shares the various objections, here. MTV’s The Seven will feature an exclusive trailer to the piece this afternoon at 5 p.m. (ET), including a conversation with Jared Leto via Skype. At the same time, mtv.com will stream the U.S. exclusive of the entire 12-minute film simultaneously with www.thirtysecondstomars.com. As for the censorship, Leto told Hilton: “I am looking to find a creative solution that works for all.” Check out the full video here. (11/29p)
