METHODS OF MAYHEM: The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, featuring headliners Korn and Rob Zombie sharing the main stage with Five Finger Death Punch and Lamb of God, is a bright spot in the otherwise desultory summer tour landscape. The tour, which launched over the weekend in San Bernardino, is up 29% in advance ticket sales from last year, and Sunday’s show in San Francisco was also up 3,000 tickets. The festival also boasts Metal Mulisha, the world’s greatest freestyole motocross team and Beacher’s Madhouse, a costume party. The festival’s co-organizers include Warped’s Kevin Lyman, Taste of Chaos’ John Reese and CAA, with co-producer and promoter Live Nation. (7/13p)
