Cambio Bows on AOL

THE NEW MTV? The Jonas Brothers’ management firm, brand management company MGX Lab and AOL have joined forces to create Cambio, a “next-generation video network for the web,” featuring daily and weekly video shows created with advertisers, which debuts tomorrow. Cambio Connect, a daily entertainment talk show hosted by former MTV VJ Quddus Philippe, filmed at L.A.’s Grove shopping complex, will be one of the first offerings. Other web series in development include Ghost Hunting with Frankie Jonas; Nick in London, a miniseries about Nick Jonas preparing to appear in a West End production of Lez Miz; a scripted docudrama starring members of the band Honor Society and a late-night talk show with the Jonas’ musical director. Individual webisodes will be from two to eight-minutes long. Other “artist-generated” content will include YouTube-like videos. (6/14a)
