EMUSIC SELLS: With today's court decision against LimeWire, the spotlight falls on legitimate download companies, such as eMusic, which continues to build digital marketshare nicely on some new titles. The e-tailer accounted for 29% of first-week digital albums sales on the New Pornographers’ Together, with a total of 3,040. On The Hold Steady’s Heaven Whenever, eMusic nabbed 22% of digital album sales and 9% of all units sold, with 2100. On Broken Social Scene’s latest, its sales represented 22% of all digital activity and 11% of total units. On Josh Ritter’s latest, they’ve grabbed 12% of the digital market and 6% of total sales. For Columbia's Broken Bells, which they just started selling, eMusic was responsible for 22% of digital album sales this week, while boasting 7% of all sales for MGMT, up to 13% this week.
