Facebook now 400m

FACING THE MUSIC: Facebook now has more than 400 million users worldwide, a gain of 50 million in December, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg, speaking at the company's f8 Developer Conference in San Francisco. The boy genius also said that 100 million FBers are now using Facebook Connect, launched just 15 months ago, to link their accounts and data to third-party websites. The company also announced a new set of social plug-ins that will enable third-party websites to install a snippet of code, and then users will be able to "like" specific pieces of content on that site and have that action appear on their Facebook profiles, according to PaidContent's coverage of the event.
