A new Grammy Museum exhibit highlighting the writings of Tupac Shakur bows on 2/2; a media-preview event will take place that day at 4pm.
All Eyez on Me: The Writings of Tupac Shakur, mounted in cooperation with the late rapper/actor/poet/activist's estate, will explore all facets of his creative work, including lyrics, poems and prose, as well as other artifacts from his career: recordings, interviews, performance footage, his Versace Grammy suit from '96 and more. It runs through 4/22.
"His words to continue to motivate and inspire new generations," declared the artist's mother, Afeni Shakur. Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli hopes to raise awareness of Shakur's "powerful and provocative" writing.
Estate manager Jeff Jampol also plans to conduct an ambulance-chasing seminar outside the site on Olympic Boulevard.
