ONE HOLY COMMUNION

Communion U.S. Inks Broad Agreement With Capitol

Communion U.S., the stateside branch of the indie label that houses breakout band Catfish and the Bottlemen in the U.K., has inked a broad agreement with Capitol Music Group.

CMG's Virgin Records will add development and marketing support to Communion's Catfish, who are set to play the main stage at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. The band's debut album, The Balcony, is certified Gold across the pond.

Future CMG label affiliations for Communion artists will be designated on a case-by-case basis.

"We are so excited to be welcoming Communion and its artists to the CMG family," announced EVPs Michelle Jubelirer and Scott Greer. "Communion has such great taste and maintains a curator's approach to its signings that has been integral to the development of Communion into an important cultural brand. Their passion is infectious and we can't wait to get started."
