KING OF B.B.'s ALBUMS

Interestingly, the biggest seller of the posthumous B.B. King sales explosion is the 1965 classic Live at the Regal, not 1969’s Completely Well, which contains his biggest hit, “The Thrill Is Gone.” Young rock fans began snapping up Live at the Regal after several British guitar heroes singled out the LP as a huge inspiration. As Eric Clapton reiterated last week, "Go out and find and album called B.B. King: Live at the Regal, which is where it really started for me as a young player."

Live at the Regal was originally released on ABC/Bluesway but is now on Geffen, following the mergers of ABC and MCA, the latter of which was later merged with Geffen.
