USING APPLE MUSIC

Cupertino Just Makes It Feel Natural

"Seamless" is the operative term for Apple Music, according to reports from those who've been able to play with a demo.

With streamable and purchased songs cheek-by-jowl, in an interface that's already familiar to iPhone and iPad users, the app is said to offer a comprehensive "jukebox" vibe; Siri is considered vital in integrating music play into everyday activity.

Apple's scrupulous attention to the user experience may generate a lot of nerdy blather at the WWDC, but the results make transformative technology feel natural. And that, in large part, is how they've won in the past. Will the addition of Android users secure Cupertino's domination of the space? We shall see.

In any event, seeing Apple's functionality, style and marketing might wrapped around subscription streaming seems to be producing a feeling of optimism among biz folk. Stay tuned for further thoughts on that.
