YE JOLLY OLDE iTUNES U.K. CHARTS

Speaking of reggae, as we do in our weekly Track Sales Update below, look what’s sitting on top of the album chart in the U.K. this morning. Sony’s Dancehall Reggae Anthems is one of an unprecedented EIGHT Various Artist collections in the Top 10 this morning, along with WB’s Muse and Island’s Florence + the Machine. If that happened in the U.S. iTunes Store, people would be stunned, but in Britain it’s merely an extreme version of normal. The biggest singles story is the sustained ascent of “Shut Up + Dance” from RCA’s Walk the Moon, which we’ve already witnessed in the States.
