THE WAY TO A MAN’S HEART

Did you know that Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman moonlights as the host of an award-winning cooking show? The new season of Kimberly’s Simply Southern will premiere on Cooking Channel beginning this Saturday, 7/18, at 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT.

In each episode, Kimberly hops off the tour bus to check local foods, ingredients and people who share her love of tasty vittles. This Saturday’s episode looks like a good’un—it’s titled, enticingly, Smokin’ Hot BBQ. After hanging out with a Nashville pitmaster to learn the secrets behind smoking a traditional Tennessee-style rack of ribs, she brings her newly learned chops back to the kitchen to put her own spin on the dish with special guest Kix Brooks. We’re also salivating over the 8/1 show, Biscuit Lovin’.

Schlapman will appear on The Talk on CBS tomorrow (2pm ET/1pm PT), offeringdishes from her cookbook and discussing the series.
