Teaser for New Season Builds Drama as ST Sells on Overseas

The promo for the forthcoming episodes of Fox's epic drama Empire dropped today and with a mere sixteen seconds of teasing still manages to parse out enough drama to make ya salivate for Season 2.

Among the saucy bits highlighted are a scene with spoiled-brat Hakeem gliding around the office on a Hovertrax (the go-to toy for rappers now, so the show is clearly on the moment as ever) a giant #freelucious concert and of course, a jailhouse reunion between Lucious and Cookie Lyon.

Incidentally, the Empire Season 1 Soundtrack has momentum in sales overseas, with the album moving into the Top 30 in the UK.

Taraji P. Henderson was nominated for an Emmy last week in the Lead Actress, Drama category for her performance as Cookie Lyon.

Season 2 starts 9/23. Exactly two months from now it's #GameTimeBitches.
