LIVE NATION: DEUTSCH TREAT

Michael Rapino's Live Nation has made a major global move, acquiring promoter Marek Lieberberg's MLK, Germany's top concert promoter, to launch Live Nation Concerts Germany. MLK is the fifth largest promoter in the world, and when LN's German division kicks off on 1/1/16, it'll add 700 shows and some 2 million fans to Rapino's empire; Ticketmaster will handle ticketing. The LN chief called the deal "an ideal fit" and noted his 20 years of experience with Lieberberg, who'll serve as CEO of the German unit (Marek's son Andre will take the role of President). Marek Lieberberg called the pact "the dream of every promoter."
