LINN ADDS TO LEGACY WITH NEW GIG

Sony Music has just confirmed Greg Linn’s move from Columbia to Legacy Recordings, where he’s taken the newly created position of SVP of Marketing & Content. The announcement was made by Legacy President Adam Block, Greg’s new boss.

Linn will lead marketing efforts for key Legacy projects and oversee content creation for the label’s extensive slate of projects and releases.

Linn spent no less than 20 years at Columbia, most recently as SVP of Marketing and Head of Columbia's Red team. In that post, Linn created and oversaw marketing campaigns for Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Barbra Streisand and Leonard Cohen, as well as acclaimed younger acts including Hozier, Leon Bridges and The Civil Wars. In his new gig, he’ll continue to work on frontline projects for Dylan, Springsteen and other core Columbia artists.

"This is a natural transition for Greg to work for our iconic artists in an expanded role," said Columbia chief Rob Stringer. "His important position at Columbia Records will benefit from this expansion."

"Greg's experience, relationships and most importantly, knowledge of and passion for music, make him a tremendous addition to the Legacy family," Block offered. "As we continue to create and use content to drive our marketing plans, his orientation and sensibility will be extremely helpful."
