Melissa McCarthy's newest comedy, Universal's The Boss, finished up just ahead of Warner Bros.' Batman v Superman (now in its third week) in a squeaker of a race to #1.

For those keeping score, Batman v Superman is just about to pass the $300m mark domestically, despite its rapid decline. Red-hot Disney animated feature Zootopia, meanwhile, is also preparing to hit $300m.
