U.K. INDIE PROMOTIONS: [PIAS] AND AIM EXECS UPPED

A host of British independent execs have received some well deserved promotions this week, with [PIAS] big shots Jason Rackham (left), Craig Penney and Geoff Muncey receiving shiny new titles alongside AIM events queen Lara Baker (right) and legal man Matt Parnell.

Rackham, previously MD of associated labels arm [PIAS] Cooperative, has been upped to MD of [PIAS] U.K., with Penney becoming Head of [PIAS] Cooperative and Muncey General Manager of [PIAS] U.K.

In his new role, Rackham will assume overall responsibility of [PIAS] Artist & Label Services, [PIAS] Cooperative and in-house record label Play It Again Sam, reporting to [PIAS] Group Managing Director Edwin Schröter, who said the appointments represent global expansion plans.

All three divisions will continue to be run by their existing teams, with Peter Thompson heading up Play It Again Sam and Richard Sefton running the sales and distribution division as Director of [PIAS] Artist and Label Services.

Over at AIM—led by chief Alison Wenham—marketing and events guru Lara Baker has been promoted to Marketing and Events Director after over 10 years’ at the trade body. Previously Paralegal, Parnell is now Legal and Business Affairs Manager, reporting to AIM’s Head of Legal and Commercial Affairs Charlie Phillips.
