Unsurprisingly, the red-hot (and just-released) Major Lazer/Justin Bieber/MØ collab, "Cold Water" (Mad Decent/Def Jam), is #1 as the Biggest Mover on the Shazam USA Top 100, as it makes a lofty debut at #10 on that chart.
At #2 is 50 Cent's "I'm the Man," which the G-Unit rapper recently re-released as a remix with Chris Brown.
And, of course, anything with Drake involvement gets major buzz. That said, Drizzy is featured on French Montana's "No Shopping" (Bad Boy/Epic), which landed at #3 on the Biggest Movers list.
Meanwhile, Rihanna's "Sledgehammer" (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) rounds out the Top 5 there, following the release of the newest Star Trek movie, for which the song was commissioned.
Across the pond, Major Lazer's "Cold Water" is also #1 on the Shazam U.K. Top 100's Biggest Movers list. However, Quindon Tarver's "Everybody's Free" is the #2 track there. Tarver originally performed the song in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 movie, Romeo + Juliet. Why is this seeing a resurgence 20 years later? We'd like to know what's got Brits whipping out their phones to rediscover the gem.
