TAYLOR LENDS A HAND

Taylor Swift is donating $1m to those affected by the flooding disaster in Louisiana. "We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home. The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking," Swift said in a statement to the Associated Press, according to People.

"I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time," she continued.

"More than 20 inches of rain have fallen in and around Baton Rouge since last week, and more is on the way, forecasters said," reported CNN. Apparently nine deaths have occurred, but the U.S. Coast Guard and other first responders rescued 20k people over the weekend. The disastrous situation caused the governor to call a state of emergency two days ago.

Our hearts are with all those suffering at this time.
