A STREET-SMART RETURN TO ROCK
FOR STING

Sting’s schlep from his Central Park West home to the recording studio in Hell’s Kitchen played a heavy role in the creation of his first pop-rock album in more than a decade, 57th & 9th, which A&M/Interscope will release 11/11.

“It’s about searching and traveling, the road, that pull of the unknown.” he says. “On this album, we ended up with something that’s energetic and noisy, but also thoughtful.”

Sting worked with long-time collaborators Dominic Miller on guitar and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums; drummer Josh Freese, guitarist Lyle Workman and San Antonio’s The Last Bandoleros also contributed. Manager Martin Kierszenbaum produced.

He debuted “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You” today with a world premiere performance (and interview) on the Kevin & Bean show at KROQ's Red Bull Sound Space.

The one thing we can’t stop thinking about whenever we hit 57th and Ninth is food. Slice at Sacco? A burger at the Hudson? Pad Thai at Wondee Siam? The choices are endless.
