The long Labor Day weekend didn't seem to be enough to pull people to the movies this time around. Screen Gems thriller Don't Breathe remained at #1 in its second week out with a mere $16m.

The highest-grossing debut—Buena Vista's The Light Between Oceans—bowed just outside the Top 5 at #6, earning just south of $5m.
