NEW RELEASES REDUX: A THREE-WAY BATTLE FOR #1 ALBUM IN STORE?

While Drake looks set to return to #1 on our Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) chart this week, Dot/BMLG's Aaron Lewis and Warner Bros. rapper Mac Miller could give last week's chart champ Jason Aldean (on Broken Bow via RED) a run for his money on the album chart. Will Aldean enjoy a second week atop the album side, or will one or both of these debuts surpass him? Here's a revised look at the new releases of the week.

Mac Miller (Warner Bros.) 39-44k SPS, 33-37k album
Aaron Lewis (Dot/BMLG) 34-38k, 31-35k
Usher (RCA) 34-38k, 22-26k
Casting Crowns (Reunion) 23-25k, 22-24k
Ghost B.C. (Loma Vista) 18-20k, 17-19k
Meatloaf (Savoy) 13-15k, 12-14k

Miller's The Divine Feminine now sits at #1 at iTunes; guests on the set include Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Ty Dolla $ign, CeeLo Green and Anderson .Paak. His prior set, Go:od AM, bowed at #3 one year ago.

Former Staind singer Lewis—pictured above performing at Zia in Phoenix, where he moved 200 copies of his album—is performing above expectations and will also vie against Aldean for #1 country album this week. His old-school country set, Sinner, is now #2 at iTunes; Willie Nelson guests on the title track, and the set also boasts Lewis' delicate take on Chris Stapleton's "Whiskey and You."
